Thursday Assorted Links

  1. Anthropic does some exploring into how Claude really works. I’ve been meaning to draft a post synthesizing this information, but it’s gotten away from me. Sharing before this (inevitably) becomes stale.
  2. The Merry Wives of Windsor on the Approaching Shakespeare podcast. In my continuing search for helpful secondary sources for Shakespeare, I found this worthy. Main revision to my priors on MWW was the observation that nearly all of the characters in the play are economically motivated–an important point that I glossed over in my review.
  3. A pretty interesting take on how the future will actually be different with AI. Not sure I agree with all of this, but some of the clearest thinking anyone is doing right now. Via Tyler Cowen, of course.
  4. Gemini continues to be the dark horse (perhaps intentionally?) of the LLMs.
